Characters: Adelle and Ramza
Where: Rabanastre, Dalmasca
When: 12th of Skyfrost/March
What: Having gotten things situated for the Clan Gully members who will be doing extended work in Nalbina Fortress throughout the riots and done a healthy bit of helping and public relations work herself, a weary Adelle returns to Rabanastre to catch an airship back to Jylland and runs into another clan leader!
Warnings: N/A
The Gate Crystal flourished and chimed, a loose coat of Mist falling off Adelle as she immediately began stepping from the plaza into Rabanastre proper. Four days wasn't a long stay unless you were in something like a war zone and then, then it felt exponentially longer, but especially if you were a leader attempting to offer assistance, quell anarchy, establish good public relationships, and generally keep people from applying stabs to not only other people, but to yourself and your people as well. Tense? Yes, the situation in Nalbina was very tense, which was exactly why, after making the decision to hold to her departure for her unwillingness to leave Jylland for any long period given Rozarria's seeming interest in expanding, she had made sure that a senior member of the clan was left in charge with strict orders to keep in touch.
Those orders would be well heeded, she knew, and that was the only reason she didn't give to the itch to turn back and stay a while longer. It wouldn't look good either, if she did that. If there wasn't trust between clan members, there wasn't trust between anyone, after all, and she wouldn't compromise the trust she placed in members she deemed capable of leadership unless the situation absolutely required it. That was what a good leader did, right? Cid had assigned people leading tasks before and trusted their judgment when he needed to be elsewhere and for tense situations. One just had to be smart about it and she had been very smart about it. If she was needed, she would return. It was as simple as that.
Heaving a sigh, the young leader reached to wipe her brow with an arm. Right. Maybe she would hit the Sandsea before she caught an airship back. If nothing else, she could use a drink about now to better help her sort her thoughts and what better place, what with this whole poisoning business edging toward resolve?
